Hi Everyone, Thank you for checking out my site. I hope to add to your creative ideas and stretch your thoughts. After my husband John and I got married almost 8 years ago,I started a new job as soon as we arrived from our honeymoon and did not pursue going back to school. Two years later I decided to do a mailing program with an art school in NY for interior design. Six months later we were expecting our first child so I decided to drop it and never continued. Even though I have not graduated I have learned so much through family, books and blogs. I have learned to refinish my entertainment center, make my own pillow covers,(replacing hideous red and brown retro ones we had before, trust me they looked 80's!) and making my house into a home.

The Mural in the old nursery |
We moved almost 4 years ago from our rented 100 yr old home with character to our own new townhome that was already fixed up. I used to wish for a new home with no projects to now wishing for my old home with character back again. I miss our hardwood floors in every room and the nursery my husband made for our son. He painted a Curious George mural in black and white by hand from a smaller picture we got from a Jack Johnson CD booklet we had. It was the one room we loved to hang out in and watch our son grow. Now he and his little sister share a room which we have tried to make both feminine and masculine. We watch them both as they are turning into kids and no longer babies.
So I hope that this can be an encouraging site to other women out there who may not think they can do much to make your home look nicer. It took me until now to make this home feel more like us, so it does take time. Also those who need a fun craft to do or yummy recipe to bake to fill your belly. I can't wait to start this and i am very nervous too. So thank you again for check out my site and I hope to have something fun up soon.
