Summer At An End

Summer is over and fall is quickly creeping in with the cold mornings and my tomato plants fading away.  I know I have been so busy since school started and I have not had time for my blog.  I am sorry for the neglect and so thankful for all of you who read my blog! Thank you so much for taking time to read it! I have a few clips for you to check out and catch you up on what you've been missing.  I finally downloaded our pictures from the past month and here they are! We had quite a bang to the end of our summer and they will be great memories forever!

1. My husband, dad and brother went to Eagles Training Camp!

2. Our small group took a trip to the Buck for a date night, it was a lot of fun!
3. Our family took a day trip to Baltimore

4. Kids enjoying the beautiful weather and digging up my flower beds :)

5. The kids earned baseball tickets from the Library's Summer reading program, it was awesome!

6. Finally a few other highlights from the past couple weeks.
I just want to comment on Liora's goldfish award.  Once Johnny was at 90% potty trained, which means none to few accidents at night, we let him choose a reward for all his hard work and he choose Buzz Lightyear wings.  They were everything he wanted...at the time. So now it was Liora's turn and she said she wanted a puppy, but we thought that was a little to big so her 2nd choice was a goldfish.  Now for a 3 year old that it a huge responsibility, but with our help, she has been feeding them 3 times a day.  It is so good for them to learn responsibility with a living thing and why not start small. She named them Goldie and Goldilocks. And did you notice the pink fish tank and the pink gravel, she is too cute! She talks to them all the time and it is hilarious!! She says stuff like, "You are so cute!" and "I'm going to school now, but I'll be back later." and it isn't just what she says but the fact that she talks to them like we would talk to a baby.  So funny! Is that how John and I talk to her? Ha ha! But it has been 3 weeks and they seem so happy living with Liora and she likes them a lot. Just wanted to share about the new addition to our family.

Next, I am putting together a few collages from the fair and parade from this past week.  It was so much fun! This year was extra fun, since we got to participate in making our church float.  It was the best time of fellowship our family has had in a long time and I feel so encouraged by our church family. More of this...hopefully tomorrow!!  Tonight is Johnny's second soccer game and small group directly after!! Fun Fun! So I am off to make Jam Bars for discussion group tonight.  If I make something that is out of this world, most likely I got the recipe from my friend Amy, she is an amazing cook!  Time to bake!
